10th Thal Desert Rally Begins in Kot Addu Today
The 10th Thal Desert Rally in Kot Addu will begin today.
The rally will continue until November 9. Today, vehicle inspection, registration, tagging, and medical checkups of the racers will be carried out. The inspection, registration, and medical process will take place at Chhanga Manga Tilla in Kot Addu until 3 PM.
The 200-kilometer-long track of the Thal Jeep Rally passes through the districts of Layyah and Kot Addu. On November 7 the qualifying round will be held at Chhanga Manga in Kot Addu.
On November 8 the Stock Category race will take place. On the same day, a fireworks show and cultural night will be held at the Sports Stadium in Kot Addu and at Chobara in Layyah.
On November 9, the Prepared and Women’s Category races will be held, along with buggy and quad bike races. On the same day, the cultural night and prize distribution ceremony will be held at Faisal Stadium in Muzaffargarh.
It is noteworthy that the Thal Rally is being organized in collaboration with TDCP and the district administrations. On the occasion of the 10th Thal Jeep Rally and festival, a local holiday will be observed on Saturday, November 8, to provide recreational opportunities to the public.

Deputy Commissioner Amira Bedar has issued a notification stating that a local holiday will be observed throughout the district on November 8.
