In one line, J5 will be a highly competitive option in terms of value.

Just like the Jaecoo J7, the J5 is a locally assembled vehicle. This allows the brand to avoid high import duties and maintain a competitive price tag.

Competition and Market Segment 

The J5 is a subcompact SUV with a likely hybrid powertrain. In that case, it’ll compete with other hybrid sub-compact SUVs in the category, including the Honda HR-V e:HEV, Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, and Haval Jolion HEV. Given its expected price point, it may also compete with lower-priced non-hybrid (petrol) SUVs in the same class.
