Before the Launch: See the Official Jaecoo J5 HEV Specs!
We previously reported that all the details on the J5 would be revealed at the official launch today at 5 PM. However, there has been a change of plan. We are now revealing the official specs and features of the locally assembled Jaecoo J5 here first, exclusively on PakWheels, even before the company’s official launch.
A Quick Refresher at the Jaecoo J5 First
The J5 is Jaecoo’s third vehicle in Pakistan, and the second internal combustion engine model. Nexgen (owned by Nishat Group) brought the Omoda & Jaecoo brands to Pakistan in August with two imported EVs: the Omoda E5 and the Jaecoo J6. Following that, they introduced the J7 in October, a compact SUV that became their first locally assembled unit.
Jaecoo is now expanding its lineup with the J5, a sub-compact hybrid SUV that sits below the J7 in terms of size, power, and price. Like its predecessor, the J5 is locally assembled and positioned to compete directly with other segment entrants, including the Honda HR-V e:HEV, Toyota Corolla Cross HEV, and Haval Jolion HEV, but its pricing is lower than these cars.
