Pakistan’s Biggest Car Year Since 2022: 45 Launches, Facelifts, and Reveals of 2025
2025 turned out to be one of the strongest years for car launches in Pakistan in recent memory.
It marked the largest wave of launches since 2022, driven by relative economic stability, easing import conditions, and renewed confidence among automakers.
As the year comes to a close, we’re continuing our annual PakWheels tradition of the “Cars Wrap” — a complete roundup of every car that launched, was unveiled, or received a facelift in 2025.
This list includes locally assembled (CKD) models, fully imported (CBU) vehicles, facelifts, and unveilings with prices yet to be announced.
Quick Stats: Cars Wrap 2025
-
Total cars covered: 45
-
21 CBU (imported) models
-
14 CKD (locally assembled) models
-
5 facelifts of existing vehicles
-
5 unveiled models (prices not announced yet)
Together, these make up the most comprehensive record of Pakistan’s 2025 automotive activity.
Here’s the detailed list of all the cars, starting from January 1st to the present date. We’ll keep adding newly launched cars in this list until December 31st:
JAC T9 Hunter
Launch Price: Rs. 9,750,000
Launch Date: January 8th, 2025
The year started with a solid addition to the pickup market, which was untouched by other companies before. Still, JAC decided to take the risk and introduced the T9 Hunter with a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine.
At the time, its biggest selling point was being the cheapest diesel truck you could buy. Although JAC later introduced the even cheaper FRISON 2X, the Hunter is the one that kicked off the momentum.
Hyundai Sonata N-Line
Launch Price: Rs. 15,890,000
Launch Date: January 12th, 2025

If you need speed, this was the highlight of the year. The Sonata N-Line claimed the crown as the fastest brand-new car assembled in Pakistan. While it certainly isn’t cheap, relative to the market, it offers incredible value if compared with German performance giants like the BMW M-series or the Mercedes-AMG line.
This sedan comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 290 hp, taking it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds, and has a good engine growl in the exhaust, boosted by artificial sound inside the cabin through the speakers. The interior is also plush, with leather throughout the cabin and all the tech goodies you’d expect from a D-segment flagship.
Kia Sportage L
Launch Price: Rs. 12,850,000
Launch Date: February 6th, 2025

The long-awaited upgrade from the old 4th-generation Sportage finally arrived this year. This new generation of hybrids is a considerable step up in tech.
The price was definitely higher than before, but given the massive improvements and the hybrid engine, it justifies the jump for many buyers looking for a Korean crossover SUV with a HEV powertrain.
Kia EV9
Launch Price: Rs. 43,200,000
Launch Date: February 6th, 2025
Launched the same day as the Sportage L, this electric SUV is a complete head-turner thanks to its exterior, which looks like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie. Since it is a fully imported unit, the ex-factory price exceeds Rs. 4 crore, placing it in the ultra-premium category.
GuGo Box
Launch Price: Rs. 7,500,000
Launch Date: February 6th, 2025

The GuGo Box was the first all-electric B-segment hatchback in Pakistan. While cheaper options like the GuGo GiGi or Honri Ve were already available, they belong to the micro-category: cars much smaller in size with a lower range. The GuGo Box steps in to bridge that gap, and it could be a good choice for buyers who want a proper, standard-sized hatchback rather than a micro-vehicle.
MG HS Trophy Facelift
Launch Price: Rs. 8,399,000
Launch Date: February 10th, 2025

Initially introduced in 2020, the HS established a strong reputation through offering high-tech features like ADAS, a turbo engine, and an impressive interior in the compact SUV segment at an aggressive price point. It was arguably one of the few vehicles that demonstrated the potential of new Chinese entrants. Later, in December 2022, MG began local assembly of the HS. By February, the company unveiled a facelift with cosmetic updates and a new interior color option, dubbing it the “Trophy” variant. This is now the sole variant offered in the MG HS lineup.
Jetour Dashing and Jetour X70 Plus
Launch Price of Jetour Dashing: Rs. 8,295,000 and Jetour X70 Plus: Rs. 8,495,000
Launch Date: February 20th, 2025

United Motors made a comeback in the passenger car space with the launch of the Jetour Dashing and Jetour X70 Plus. Both models use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and come loaded with all the modern features you would expect from a competitive Chinese brand today.
These launches were noteworthy given the context. While United Motors’ earlier attempts with the Alpha and Bravo faced challenges regarding build quality, the Jetour models are distinct products from a separate company (Chery’s group in China) introduced by United in Pakistan, ensuring no such issues with build quality and reliability.
Isuzu D-Max
Launch Price: Rs. 12,975,000
Launch Date: March 24th, 2025

Following the arrival of JAC’s diesel pickup earlier in the year, ISUZU entered the market with the 3rd generation D-Max. ISUZU’s older 2nd-generation D-Max couldn’t succeed in the market for various reasons. Still, this new generation tried to resolve those issues and brought much-needed competition to a segment long dominated by a single player.
Dongfeng Box
Launch Price: Rs. 6,800,000
Launch Date: April 11th, 2025

In reality, this was essentially the exact vehicle as the GuGo Box, as both are based on the same international model, the Nammi 01. Although there are minor changes between them, the backbone remains the same.
What made the launch enjoyable was the competition. Shortly after Chawla introduced the Dongfeng Box, pricing pressure intensified, prompting a noticeable adjustment from its competitor, GuGo, which dropped the price of its BOX just days after the Dongfeng’s launch.
Hyundai Tucson Hybrid
Launch Price: Rs. 11,999,000
Launch Date: April 13th, 2025

After years of anticipation, Hyundai finally introduced the 4th-generation Tucson with a hybrid powertrain. This was more than just a generational update; it marked Hyundai’s serious entry into the hybrid SUV market in Pakistan. The new model offered better efficiency, advanced technology, and a clear step up from the 3rd-generation, naturally aspirated 2.0-liter model.
Suzuki Alto Facelift
Launch Price: Rs. 3,140,000
Launch Date: April 18th, 2025

The Alto received a minor refresh. Suzuki added power windows with pinch protection, Hill Hold Control (HHC) on AGS trims, airbags, ABS, EBD, a rear chrome grille across all trims, and other changes. Read the blog we linked Please reador the launch date and more details.
Haval H6 Facelift
No price increase
Launch Date: April 30th, 2025

GWM updated the H6, focusing on exterior tweaks and a few interior refinements while keeping the price unchanged. This decision was significant in a market where facelifts often arrive with hefty premiums. By holding the line on pricing, the brand earned goodwill and reinforced the H6’s value proposition in the mid-size SUV category.
Kia Sorento
Launch Price: Rs.15,999,000
Launch Date: May 10th, 2025

Kia raised the bar with the new 4th-generation Sorento, delivering a clear upgrade over the previous model. This one came with three options: 3.6-liter V6, 1.6-liter FWD HEV, and the top-spec 1.6-liter AWD HEV.
Inverex Xio
Launch Price: Rs. 4,999,000
Launch Date: May 16th, 2025

Inverex surprised many by stepping into the EV space with the Xio, a tiny electric hatchback even smaller than the Alto. Known primarily as a solar and energy solutions company, Inverex’s move into electric mobility reflected the fact that EVs are attracting players from outside the traditional auto industry.
Honda HR-V e: HEV
Launch Price: Rs. 8,999,000
Launch Date: July 14th, 2025
After years of speculation and countless rumors, Honda finally delivered the hybrid HR-V. Branded as e: HEV, this version marked Honda’s first locally assembled hybrid compact SUV.
BYD Shark 6
Launch Price: Rs. 19,950,000
Launch Date: July 25th, 2025

The BYD Shark 6 is the country’s first-ever plug-in hybrid pickup truck. It represents a shift in a segment traditionally dominated by rugged diesel engines, offering a more sophisticated, lifestyle-oriented alternative for buyers who can afford it. However, the nearly Rs. 2 crore price bracket places it firmly in a niche buyer segment.
Riddara RD6
Launch Price: PKR 16,999,000
Launch Date: July 26th, 2025

The Riddara RD6 is Pakistan’s first-ever all-electric pickup truck, challenging the decades-long dominance of diesel and petrol engines in the segment. It is curated for a new breed of urban adventurers who need the utility of a flatbed truck in an all-electric option. That said, its pricing positions it squarely for a very specific, premium audience.
Haval H6 PHEV
Launch Price: PKR 12,895,000
Launch Date: July 28th, 2025

After the H6 HEV, Sazgar introduced the PHEV trim for the H6. It’s also a locally assembled option, with a good 19 kWh battery and a lot of hi-tech goodies you’d expect from a competitive Chinese brand.
Peugeot 2008 Facelift
Launch Price: PKR 7,799,000
Launch Date: August 1st, 2025

These additions increased the price by Rs. 200,000, but it is still the cheapest 7-seater MPV available with a 1.0L+ engine and these essential safety features.
Forthing Friday
Launch Price: Rs. 10,999,000
Launch Date: August 14th, 2025
This marked Capital Smart Motors’ entry into the Pakistani market. The Forthing Friday holds the title of the first officially launched REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) in Pakistan. Basically, if you don’t know what a REEV is, it is similar to a PHEV, but with one key difference: only the electric motors drive the wheels, while the engine works solely as a generator to charge the batteries.
Although the Nissan Note e-Power was available in the market before Friday, it also featured a REEV powertrain, but it arrived via private imports rather than through an official company launch like this one.
JMEV Elight
Launch Price: Rs. 9,999,999

JAC T9 FRIXON 2X
Launch Price: Rs. 8,775,000
Launch Date: October 9th, 2025

Interestingly, the model name ’11’ is pronounced ‘One-One,’ not ‘Eleven,‘ because Changan says it’s a one-of-a-kind vehicle and hence they name it ‘One-One.’
