Master Changan Reveals Deepal S05 REEV Price and Launch Details in Pakistan
Master Changan Motors has officially revealed the introductory price of the Deepal S05 REEV for the Pakistani market, marking a major milestone in the country’s transition toward electric mobility. The locally assembled CKD model is expected to hit Pakistani roads by January 2026, with a starting price of Rs. 9,999,000.
The Deepal S05, a compact SUV from China, has already gained popularity internationally since its debut in 2024. Built on an advanced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) platform, it stands out as Deepal’s first vehicle equipped with a combustion engine, but with a unique twist — the engine functions only as a generator to charge the battery, not to drive the wheels.
This makes the REEV system distinct from plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), which allow both the engine and motor to power the vehicle. In contrast, the S05’s electric motor exclusively drives the wheels, ensuring a smoother and more efficient electric driving experience.
