Cholistan Desert Rally 2026: Dates, Route and Participants Announced

The 21st Cholistan Desert Rally is scheduled to take place from February 11 to February 15, 2026, in the Cholistan Desert of southern Punjab. The rally will start near the historic Derawar Fort and cover an extended 500-kilometre desert route, passing forts such as Bhijnot, Moujgarh, and Jamgarh.

Over 100 participants from across Pakistan are expected to compete in multiple categories, including Prepared, Stock, and Women’s classes. Stock and Prepared categories are further divided into 4 categories (A, B, C, D).The rally program includes registration, technical inspections, qualifying rounds, main races, and prize distribution.

Past Winners and Competition Highlights

In 2025, Zain Mehmood won the top-level Prepared category, finishing ahead of competitors like Nadir Magsi and Jaffar Magsi. The event has historically included female racers and has maintained strong participation across Stock and Prepared classes.

Previous editions, including 2024, also highlighted Zain Mehmood’s performance, making him a prominent name in the rally’s history.

Interest in the rally extends beyond professional racers. Enthusiasts often attend with friends and family, combining off-road racing, desert camping, photography, and sightseeing around historic landmarks.
