Strong YoY Growth Despite Monthly Dip! December 2025 Auto Sales

The Pakistan auto industry posted positive growth in December 2025 compared to the same month last year, with growth seen across almost all segments.

Passenger cars played a major role in this recovery, as production rose by 56% and sales increased by 42%. Demand for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), jeeps, and pickups was even stronger, recording a 58% jump in sales and a 37% rise in production.

The commercial and logistics sectors also posted impressive numbers, particularly in the truck segment, which saw sales more than double with a 106% increase, while production grew by 99%. Meanwhile, the two- and three-wheeler market maintained steady momentum, posting growth of over 30% in both production and sales.

However, the agricultural sector did not share in this success. Farm tractor sales fell by 26%, and production dropped by 20%.

This momentum in auto sales was also supported by better lending terms, as 2025 witnessed healthy growth in the auto financing rate following the huge drop in interest rates. Despite strong performance compared to the previous year, the market has experienced a slight dip in December, compared to November.
