PMA Issues Key Update on eTransit Wallet and T-Cash Card Use for Punjab Commuters
The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has issued an official clarification regarding the eTransit App e-Wallet and T-Cash Card, confirming that both are separate systems and are not integrated. The authority said the clarification aims to ensure transparency and passenger convenience as more commuters adopt digital fare payments across Punjab.
According to the PMA, payments made through a PSID reflect only in the e-Wallet and do not appear in the T-Cash card balance.
It further clarified that the T-Cash (Bank of Punjab) card and the e-Wallet are different accounts with distinct functions.
It explained that the T-Cash card balance can be used for ATM withdrawals and Mastercard payments for shopping. The e-Wallet balance is reserved exclusively for travel.
The statement further assured passengers that all funds are safe and secure.
The authority advised commuters to ensure they select the correct platform when topping up and directed users to visit the PMA E-Transit website or follow PMA’s official social media channels for accurate information on digital payment options.
