Exclusive: BYD Soon Launching Two New Cars In Pakistan

According to our informants, it is confirmed that BYD is set to introduce two new electric vehicles in Pakistan by the end of January 2026. 

The confirmed models are the BYD Atto 2 and the BYD Sealion 7.

BYD Atto 2: The Subcompact SUV

The first model, the Atto 2 (known as the BYD Yuan Up in China), is a sub-compact all-electric SUV. As the name suggests, it sits below the popular Atto 3 in terms of both size and price. It is designed to be an entry-level EV SUV option.

• Availability: Launched in China (March 2024), Australia (November 2025), and other markets under various names (Yuan Up, Yuan Pro, S1 Pro).
• Platform: Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, which is dedicated to electric vehicles for better space and efficiency.

• Battery Options: It comes with Blade Battery technology (LFP) in two main sizes:

• Battery Options: Uses BYD’s Blade Battery (LFP) technology in two main sizes:

  • 82.5 kWh or 91.3 kWh, depending on the specific international market.
• Power:
  • Base motor (RWD): 228 hp or 308 hp, depending on the specific international market.
  • Dual motor (AWD): 523 hp
• 0-100 km/h: As fast as 4.5 seconds for the performance AWD version.
• Charging: Supports ultra-fast DC charging up to 230 kW (10% to 80% in ~24 mins).

Pricing and Variants

So far, the official pricing and specific variants for the Pakistani market have not been confirmed. All we can state with certainty at this moment is that these two specific models will arrive by the end of January.
