Faisalabad Introduces E-Challan System
The E-Challan System has officially started in Faisalabad, marking a major step towards smart traffic monitoring in Punjab.
The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has transferred vehicle data to the Safe City Authority, allowing traffic fines to be issued digitally.
According to officials, citizens will now receive E-Challans at their home addresses for breaking traffic rules. The system will record violations such as driving without a helmet, signal jumping, and going against the one-way route. All types of traffic violations will be monitored under this new setup.

More than 1,400 cameras installed across Faisalabad’s city area will help identify rule breakers and automatically send E-Challans to their registered addresses. The initiative aims to promote road safety, discipline, and accountability among motorists.
