How the Scam Works and Recent Incidents

Scammers send texts from unofficial numbers like those starting with +92, posing as PSCA or police, urging clicks on malware-laden links for “fine payments.”

Victims report data theft and financial losses. Social platforms, including X, are flooded with user-shared screenshots of bogus messages, highlighting incidents in Lahore, Karachi, and beyond.

Tips to Stay Safe

  • Verify your challans via the official PSCA link.
