Govt to Crack Down on Transporters Overcharging Fares

The government has decided to take strict action against transporters charging excess fares despite the reduction in petroleum product prices.

Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan has mobilized the relevant authorities to ensure a reduction in fares.

The Minister has instructed the issuance of a new fare list in accordance with petroleum prices and ordered the officials to remain active in the field.

Special teams have been formed to ensure fare reductions, and all Regional Transport Authorities have been directed to take immediate action and submit reports.
