Honda Atlas Cars Sees Profit Triple, Marking a 242% Leap - Carr.pk

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited (HCAR) posted a strong rise in earnings for 1HMY26, with profit climbing to Rs. 1.57 billion.

This marks more than a threefold increase from the same period last year. The company said its performance improved mainly on the back of stronger sales and higher production volumes.

During the half-year period, net sales reached Rs. 51.88 billion, up from Rs. 32.56 billion a year earlier. Dealers noted that demand picked up across key models. Total sales rose to 11,818 units, with the Civic and City making up most of the deliveries. Honda Atlas also benefited from the BR-V and HR-V lineup.

The trend continued in the second quarter. Profit for 2QMY26 touched Rs. 742 million, almost three times higher than the same quarter last year. Sales in the quarter grew to Rs. 25.41 billion, supported by a clear jump in volumes, especially after the launch of the HR-V Hybrid in August and the City 1.5L Aspire S CVT in September.

Gross margins improved slightly, rising to 8.1% from 6.9% in the previous year’s first half. Margins for the latest quarter stayed close to earlier levels at 7.4%.

Honda Atlas also recorded a major increase in other income, which climbed to Rs. 495 million in the second quarter. This came mainly from higher cash and bank balances, which stood at around Rs. 1.5 billion.

On the other hand, finance costs increased by 63 percent due to larger borrowings. The company’s effective tax rate for the quarter was 33.9%, lower than last year’s 39.6%.
