Islamabad Set to Launch Two Major Flyover Projects
Islamabad has announced the inauguration of two major road projects aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving urban infrastructure.
Deputy Director General Environment at the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Irfan Azeem Khan Niazi, said the prime minister is prioritizing urban beautification and infrastructure upgrades to make the capital more livable.
Speaking to PTV News, Niazi confirmed that two new flyovers at T-Chowk and Shaheen Chowk will be opened soon, depending on the prime minister’s schedule. He emphasized that these projects will not only ease traffic flow but also enhance the city’s visual appeal.
Niazi added that the Interior Minister has instructed the CDA to focus on green spaces around the new projects. “We are planting flowering and allergy-friendly trees to improve environmental quality and reduce health risks for residents,” he said.
