It will be a fully modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly initiative, integrated with the latest transit systems.

The CDA Chairman directed that the project’s operations be fully digital and cashless. He also instructed that carbon credit acquisition be ensured during the planning phase of this eco-friendly transport project.

Chairman CDA said that a feasibility study should be conducted to connect the electric tram project with key locations in Islamabad, especially the Islamabad International Airport. He emphasized that the latest ridership data and future demand projections should be taken into account.
