JPJ and Pos Malaysia will stop issuing physical road tax (LKM) stickers starting from February 1, 2026

Pos Malaysia has announced the road transport department (JPJ) will stop issuing physical road tax (LKM) slips for Malaysian-owned private vehicles beginning February 1, 2026.

The company added that for those who still require a physical LKM slip, they are still able to get one when they renew their vehicle road tax and insurance at Pos Malaysia kiosks and post offices before the deadline, subject to stock availability.

The physical LKM slip refers to the rectangular sticker that you place on your windshield and differs from the newer paper document introduced back in February 2023, which you can still obtain from JPJ offices.

In line with the government’s efforts to expand the digitalisation of transport services, the transport ministry introduced digital road tax (e-LKM) and driving licence (e-LMM) in February 2023, both of which are stored and can be renewed from within the MyJPJ app.
