Karachi Airport Travelers Can Now Clear Immigration in Just 1 Minute

Karachi Airport has enhanced facilities for departing and arriving passengers as all 20 immigration departure counters are now fully operational.

Deputy Director of Immigration Karachi, Shehzad Akbar, stated that with dedicated staff at all counters during peak hours, a passenger’s immigration process now takes only about one minute on average.

He added that the pre-departure counter is also active, allowing travelers to complete clearance a few days before their flight. “Talk of Karachi Airport being a stressful experience is no longer accurate. The airport is becoming a hub of convenience,” he said.

Shehzad Akbar also announced that e-gates will soon be installed, and a special app for departing passengers is in the works. Security measures now limit friends and relatives to the departure area’s entrance. During peak hours, some domestic lounge counters are temporarily merged with the international lounge to provide airlines with more space for boarding.
