Sindh Reviews Progress on Karachi Transport Projects
Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon chaired a high-level meeting to review ongoing transport initiatives in Karachi, stressing timely completion to enhance urban mobility.

- Red Line BRT: Work advances near NIPA Chowrangi on both sides of the corridor. Officials prioritize field-level resolutions to prevent delays.
- Yellow Line BRT: Demolition of the second part of Senator Taj Haider Bridge continues, with construction activities scheduled to begin shortly.
- EV and Green Initiatives: Plans include introducing more electric vehicle (EV) buses and EV taxis across the city. The second phase of Pink Scooties launches soon, featuring distribution programs in Karachi and other cities.

The minister directed full resource utilization to meet stipulated timelines. He emphasized immediate on-site problem-solving to avoid setbacks.
“Red Line and Yellow Line BRT would play an important role in connecting important places and business centers of the city,” Memon stated, adding that authorities must ensure swift resolutions at the field level.
