Karachi Expands Double-Decker Bus Route

The route of the double-decker bus operating under the People’s Bus Service in Karachi has been extended, providing improved travel options for commuters.

According to the service administration, the double-decker bus will now operate from Malir Halt to Tower, and the new route has officially started from today.

The expansion is aimed at facilitating more passengers and easing travel across busy corridors of Karachi. With the extended route, residents of Malir Halt and surrounding areas will now have direct access to the city’s commercial hub at Tower through the double-decker service.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had earlier directed transport authorities to complete preparations for launching new bus routes.

He also reiterated that the provincial government is working to complete the Yellow Line BRT project at the earliest to further strengthen and modernize Karachi’s public transport system.
