Karachi to Get Major Road Upgrades Across City
Karachi’s major infrastructure projects are progressing rapidly to improve traffic flow across the city. The city administration is constructing a new four-lane bridge on Korangi Causeway, which is expected to open by January 2026, offering relief to daily commuters.
Work is also moving swiftly on the Shahrah-e-Bhutto underpass, aiming to reduce congestion in one of the city’s busiest areas.
Additionally, the Peoples Party is building a new bridge near Murghi Khana, while the Mina Bazaar underpass is expected to be completed by late January 2026.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab emphasized that these projects are part of the city’s ongoing effort to modernize infrastructure and provide smoother traffic movement for residents.
Once completed, the bridges and underpasses are expected to significantly cut travel times and ease congestion in these key areas.
