Seaview Roads Under Watch: Karachi Prepares for Safe New Year
Karachi’s popular Seaview beach will remain open for New Year’s celebrations, with authorities deploying a massive security and traffic management plan to keep celebrations safe and roads clear.
Enhanced Security for Road Safety
According to the reports, over 2,400 police personnel are assigned to the Seaview and Clifton areas to manage crowds and ensure smooth traffic flow. Six police platoons will be stationed across the Seaview region, supported by 80 mobile units and 106 motorbike patrols. Mounted police on horseback will bolster surveillance, while intelligence teams remain on high alert throughout the New Year hours.
These measures aim to prevent traffic jams, help drivers navigate busy routes efficiently, and reduce the risk of accidents during the peak celebration period.
Tips for Safe New Year’s Drives
Authorities advise revelers to stay alert while enjoying festivities. Expect heavy crowds, plan alternate routes, avoid peak hours, and drive cautiously. Coupled with Section 144 restrictions, these measures are designed to ensure hazard-free roads as Karachi rings in 2026.
