The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has approved a Rs. 496 million project to upgrade a key road in Malir, aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing travel time, and connecting major industrial and residential areas.

The project will rehabilitate the corridor from Gulshan-i-Hadeed to Allah Wali Chowrangi. According to the KMC, the tender for construction has been issued, marking the start of the roadworks.

“This upgrade will benefit residents, ease traffic, and support the growth of nearby neighborhoods and industrial zones,” said a KMC spokesperson. The route links District Malir with key commercial hubs, including the Bin Qasim Industrial Zone and the road towards Thatta.
