KP Govt Unveils 9 Interchanges, 7 Bridges & 2 Tunnels on New Motorways
The KP government has announced the Chakdara–Fatehpur Motorway project, marking a major step toward improving road connectivity in Malakand division. The project was discussed during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
The Chakdara–Fatehpur Motorway project is part of Swat Motorway Phase II and will stretch over 80 kilometers. Officials confirmed that the motorway will include 9 interchanges and 7 bridges over the Swat River, making travel safer and faster for commuters.

The chief minister directed departments to remove technical and administrative hurdles so that work on the Chakdara–Fatehpur Motorway project can begin without delay. The KP government said the motorway will help boost tourism, trade, and economic activity in Swat and surrounding areas.
