The Neela Gumbad underground plaza parking project is facing a financial shortfall, prompting the Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) to demand the immediate release of fully approved funds from the Wald City Authority.

The chief engineer of TEPA has formally written to the DG of Walled City Authority, requesting the release of Rs. 2.45 billion for the project’s timely completion.

According to the letter, the Walled City Authority has so far released only Rs. 30 crore, which has already been fully utilized. TEPA officials emphasized that work on the project continues day and night, but contractors are facing severe delays due to insufficient payments.

TEPA also noted that the amount already released is insufficient for the work already completed, and immediate funding is essential to prevent further delays.
