Lahore Gets New Electric Vehicle Chargers

Lahore Civil Secretariat has installed electric vehicle (EV) chargers near the Archives Department building for government electric vehicles.

The decision to install the EV chargers was made to help reduce environmental pollution and encourage greener transport options.

Officials also announced plans to build a new parking area behind the Interior Department building, which is expected to resolve parking issues at the Secretariat.

The government launched its electric bus service in February 2025 with an initial fleet of 27 buses, aiming to expand the service across Punjab. At the same time, private electric vehicles are becoming increasingly available, providing residents with more green transport options.
