Lahore Transporters Raise Fares - Carr.pk

Following a rise in diesel prices, transporters in Lahore have increased bus fares by Rs50 to Rs150. The fare from Lahore to Rawalpindi has jumped from Rs1,600 to Rs1,750, while travel to Rahim Yar Khan now costs Rs1,900 after a Rs150 hike.

Fares from Lahore to Gujranwala have also been revised upward.

Passengers said the fare increase adds to their financial burden amid rising prices of daily essentials. Citizens have called on the government to reduce diesel prices to provide relief.

The government has kept petrol prices unchanged at Rs253.17 per litre. However, the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs11.30 per litre, bringing it to Rs268.38 per litre.
