Mattel expands Brick Shop range with custom Honda Civic EF and S2000 – comes with matching Hot Wheels

Last year, Mattel launched its new Brick Shop line in collaboration with Hot Wheels as a way to take on Lego. Aimed at car enthusiasts that enjoy collecting building sets, the Brick Shop offerings differed from what Lego sells by also including a matching 1:64 Hot Wheels model.
Following the initial line-up of cars last year, Mattel is now adding two Hondas to the mix: a custom 1990 Honda Civic EF and a 2007 Honda S2000. Each kit comes with openable doors, a matching Hot Wheels version of the same car as well as a metal signature plate.
As these icons are popular in tuning culture, the sets also include decals and two sets of wheel covers if you want to do some personalisation. You can also mix and match with other sets as the pieces can be paired with all Brick Shop building sets.
In terms of parts count, it is 248 for the ‘Civic Mayat’ and 257 for the S2000, with each one being a 1:32-scale model when put together. Being Speed Series models, which are the entry point to the Brick Shop line, both cars are affordable priced at USD22 (RM89).
