Mercedes Updates S-Class With 2027 Facelift
Mercedes-Benz officially revealed the 2027 S-Class facelift, adding updated styling, new powertrains, and advanced technology to its flagship sedan.
Global sales will start in late 2026, and Pakistani deliveries will likely follow in early to mid-2027.
The 2027 S-Class now has subtle design changes.
It features a 20% larger grille, an optional illuminated Mercedes star, and star-shaped LED headlights and taillights.
Moreover, over half of its components have been redesigned, making this update more than cosmetic.
The S500 uses a 3.0L turbo inline-6 mild hybrid producing 442 hp. The S580 offers a new 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with 530 hp.
Meanwhile, the S580e plug-in hybrid combines a 6-cylinder engine with an electric motor to deliver 576 hp.
All variants come with a 9-speed automatic, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and rear-axle steering.
Additionally, intelligent dampers and mild-hybrid systems improve both ride comfort and performance.
Inside, the S-Class features the MBUX Superscreen setup, including a 12.3-inch driver display, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger screen.
It supports AI-assisted navigation and natural voice commands. Furthermore, rear passengers get 13.1-inch displays with video conferencing, heated seat belts, digital HVAC vents, dual wireless charging pads, and ambient lighting.
Mercedes has not announced global pricing yet, but analysts predict a modest increase due to the upgraded V8 and added technology.
Pakistani buyers can pre-order through high-end importers starting mid-2027, although availability will be limited.
