Moldova September 2025: Market up 51.4%, BYD places Song Plus and Sealion in Top 10

There are two BYD models inside the Moldovan Top 10 this month.

Data by our local partner CE Auto has new car sales in Moldova up a fantastic 51.4% year-on-year in September to 1,331 units. This means the year-to-date volume is now up 14.1% to 8,147. The Toyota RAV4 (+94.9%) surges to the top spot for the 2nd time this year after April. It however ranks #3 year-to-date. The Kia Sportage (+40.4%) repeats at #2 and holds onto the YTD pole position while the Skoda Kodiaq (+45%) rounds out the podium. Below, the Toyota Corolla Cross (+173.7%) and Hyundai Tucson (+66.7%) both outrun the market but the Dacia Duster (-37.3%) is in complete freefall. BYD places the Song Plus at #7 and the Sealion at #8. All Top 10 models are SUVs.
