Motorway Police Seize Rs 6 Million Worth Non-Custom Paid Vehicles on M-5

In a major crackdown, Motorway Police, in coordination with Customs authorities, seized two non-custom paid vehicles on the M-5 Motorway, Multan zone, officials confirmed.

According to the Motorway Police, the operation was launched after receiving a tip-off about illegal vehicle movement. During the joint action, a Daihatsu Mira and a Toyota Aqua were recovered, with a total estimated value exceeding Rs 6 million.

The suspects were unable to provide valid legal or customs documentation for the vehicles. Consequently, the seized vehicles, along with mobile phones recovered from the suspects, were handed over to customs authorities for further legal action.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the illegal vehicles were being transported from Quetta to Swat, highlighting an ongoing inter-provincial smuggling route.

Motorway Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and protect national revenue, assuring citizens that strict enforcement actions will continue across all motorways and highways.
