Murree Travel Advisory Issued Ahead of Heavy Snowfall
A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said all rescue stations and key points in Murree and Kotli Sattian will remain on “full alert round the clock under our Emergency Core Plan”.
Additionally, the spokesperson stated that camp-points staffed 24 hours a day have been established for public safety and convenience.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast, heavy rainfall, hail, and snowfall are expected, leading to the provision of emergency rescue vehicles, ambulances, and life-saving equipment.
Murree Weather Alert and Emergency Preparations
The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s predictions anticipate rain, thunderstorms, high winds, and snowfall in Murree, Galiyat, Attock District, Chakwal, Talagang, and other northern areas.
Due to the severity of these predictions, the spokesperson emphasised the risk of accidents, which tend to increase with snowfall, extreme cold, and slippery roads in winter. Citizens are urged to avoid leisure trips, equip vehicles with snow chains, and keep fuel tanks full for safety, and to content the Rescue 1122 helpline immediately in case of emergency.
