Car sales in Pakistan jumped 32% year-on-year in October 2025, reaching 17,333 units, according to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA). This compares with 13,108 units sold in the same month last year. Month-on-month (MoM), sales edged up slightly by 1%, showing stability in the market.

Experts say the rise in car sales in Pakistan is supported by a more stable economy, easing inflation, lower interest rates, introduction of new car variants, and improving consumer confidence. Myesha Sohail from Topline Research highlighted these factors in her recent report.

However, MoM growth was limited due to Pak Suzuki Motor Company’s (PSMC) 18% drop in sales. The decline came as PSMC discontinued several models including Ravi, Bolan, Every VX, and WagonR. Swift, Ravi, and Every models saw sales fall by 17%, 84%, and 28% respectively, while Bolan had no sales since May 2025.

Looking at the first four months of fiscal year 2025-26 (July to October), total car sales jumped 46% YoY to 59,600 units compared to 40,693 units in the same period last year.

Hyundai Nishat recorded the highest YoY growth at 82%, driven by a 2.7x rise in Tucson sales and a 3.1x jump in Elantra sales.
