Pakistan Railways Upgrades Key Lahore-Sialkot Service

Pakistan Railways has taken another step to improve passenger services with the Lasani Express, now upgraded for faster and more comfortable travel.

The train, operating between Lahore and Sialkot, was formally inaugurated at Lahore Railway Station by Additional General Manager Yousuf Khan and Chief Commercial Manager Tariq Sipra.

Officials said the Lasani Express has been fully refurbished, now featuring 10 modern coaches. The upgraded service will reduce travel time, allowing passengers to reach Sialkot from Lahore in just four hours and fifteen minutes.

Speaking at the ceremony, railway officials highlighted that the revamp is part of Pakistan Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance comfort, safety, and efficiency for daily travelers. The train also includes better seating arrangements, improved lighting and modern facilities to ensure a smoother journey.

Passengers traveling on the Lasani Express can now enjoy a more pleasant experience, while the improved schedule aims to meet the growing demand for fast and reliable rail travel between the two cities.
