Sultan Golden Sets Historic Stunt Records in Quetta
Pakistani stuntman Sultan Muhammad “Golden” has put Quetta on the global stunt map after setting two major records during a public stunt show held on Saturday.
The headline feat saw Sultan complete a one-mile reverse drive in just 57 seconds, a time organisers described as the fastest long-distance reverse drive ever recorded. The stunt was sponsored by PakWheels, which also served as the official media partner, exclusively recording and documenting the entire event.
The new record surpassed the previous mark set on June 15, 2022, when American stuntman Scot Burner completed the same distance in 1 minute and 15 seconds. As Sultan crossed the finish line, the crowd erupted in applause, acknowledging the exceptional control and precision required for a high-speed reverse run.
Sultan didn’t stop there. He also executed a reverse ramp jump measuring 122 feet 8 inches, comfortably breaking the earlier record of 89 feet 3 inches set by American stuntman Rob Dyrdek on February 13, 2014. The daring jump further cemented Sultan Golden’s standing among the world’s top stunt performers.
Speaking after the show, Sultan credited consistent practice and hard work for his success, adding that his goal is to represent Pakistan on the international stage and continue pushing the limits of stunt performance.
President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Sultan Golden on setting a new world record in reverse driving. He said the achievement reflects the skill, courage and dedication of Pakistanis, strengthening Pakistan’s positive image globally and wished him continued success.
