Punjab Denies Claims of Driving License Without Test
A message circulating widely on WhatsApp and social media claims that residents of Punjab can apply for a driving license online without taking a driving test through a website called dastakpunjab.online.
The viral post includes a graphic suggesting that applicants can submit their personal details and pay the required fee via Easypaisa or JazzCash to receive a driving license.
It also states that the service is part of a “Driving License Management System” under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and that applicants will not need to appear for a physical driving test.
Punjab authorities have clarified that this claim is false. The official process for obtaining a driving license in the province still requires applicants to pass both written and practical driving tests. Officials warned the public against using unofficial websites or sharing personal and payment details on such platforms, as they could be scams.
