Sindh Rolls Out Phase-II of Free Electric Scooty Program: Here’s How to Apply
The Free Electric Scooty Program Phase II has been launched by the Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) to support women’s mobility across the province.
The initiative aims to help students and working women travel safely and independently through the provision of free electric scooties.
Under the Free Electric Scooty Program, eligible women must be residents of Sindh and hold a valid CNIC, domicile, and PRC. Students and employees can apply by submitting the required documents.
Women with a learner’s license can file their form, complete a free 7-day training offered by KFC Pakistan, and then apply for a permanent license to qualify. Applicants with a permanent driving license only need to submit their documents for verification. Those without any license must first apply online for a learner’s permit through the Driving License Sindh website.
Required documents include a filled application form, CNIC copy, domicile, PRC, student or employee card, phone number, email address, and a valid driving license.
SMTA has given two submission options. Applicants can send their documents via WhatsApp at 0309-1365354 or submit them at the SMTA office located at 43-D, Shahra-e-Chalib, Clifton Block 2, Karachi.
