Toyota Unveils Yaris Cross Nightshade with Added Features In Thailand! - Carr.pk

Toyota has rolled out a new dark-themed variant of its subcompact SUV for Southeast Asia, introducing the Toyota Yaris Cross Nightshade in Thailand.

The update gives the compact SUV a darker, more refined look while keeping its hybrid engine and features.

The variant adds a new “Metro-Stylish” front grille with a revised mesh pattern and a thicker upper bar. It also features extra-dark exterior elements for a more aggressive look.

However, these updates are cosmetic and do not affect the hybrid system or mechanical setup. The cabin continues with the same equipment as the HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) Premium Luxury trim, except for the dark-themed interior scheme.

It includes synthetic-leather seats, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, a wireless charging pad, a six-speaker audio system, a panoramic roof, and a hands-free powered tailgate.

Coming to the safety side, it includes six airbags, a panoramic view monitor, and Toyota’s advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Thai customers receive a single self-charging hybrid setup that pairs a 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i petrol engine with an electric motor. Together, the system produces about 110 hp. Power goes to the front wheels through an E-CVT transmission.

Toyota prices the Yaris Cross Nightshade at 919,000 baht, which is approximately Rs 8,05,000 PKR. The price of this variant is 20,000 baht (approx. Rs 17,500 PKR) higher than the HEV Premium Luxury trim.

What’s In for Pakistan?

As of now, the Toyota Yaris Cross is not officially available in Pakistan, and there are no indications that Toyota Indus plans to introduce it anytime soon. However, Toyota does offer another hybrid crossover SUV in the local market, the Toyota Corolla Cross, which is built on the 12th-generation Corolla platform. Beyond that, there is no information or hint about the Yaris Cross making its way to Pakistan.
