Train Services From Quetta Suspended — Here’s the Reason - Carr.pk

Authorities suspended all train services from Quetta to other provinces due to security concerns and track damage, disrupting travel for thousands of passengers.

Major inter‑provincial trains, including the Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail, will remain inactive until officials complete safety inspections and repairs.

The suspension directly affects the Quetta‑Peshawar Jaffar Express and the Quetta‑Karachi Bolan Mail.

Railway authorities are coordinating with law enforcement to address security threats and ensure passenger safety before resuming normal operations.

Recently, explosions and attacks damaged railway infrastructure in Balochistan, raising safety concerns.

For example, a blast in the Sariab area of Quetta damaged tracks, forcing the temporary cancellation of services. Police and bomb disposal teams secured the area immediately and began inspections.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways advised passengers to contact reservation offices for refunds or rescheduled journeys.

Officials added that services will resume only after security clearance and track repairs are complete.
