Two Major Districts in Punjab to Get Motorway Connectivity
The federal govt has announced a new motorway project linking Kartarpur and Nankana Sahib, two major Sikh pilgrimage sites.
The project, named the Guru Nanak Expressway, will connect the sites directly to the national motorway network.
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan directed the immediate start of construction on the Sialkot–Kartarpur route.
The motorway will feature international-standard facilities, including three, four, and five-star hotels for visiting pilgrims.
The minister also ordered the NHA to promote the project globally, targeting investments from the Sikh community in London, Canada, and the United States.
