Don't panic when that check engine light comes on! Here's how to diagnose it yourself before heading to a mechanic. What you need:
- OBD2 scanner (Rs. 2,000-5,000 on Daraz)
- Smartphone with OBD app (Torque, Car Scanner) Common codes and meanings:
P0171/P0174 - Lean condition (check air filter, MAF sensor)
P0300-P0304 - Misfires (spark plugs, coils)
P0420 - Catalytic converter (might just need O2 sensor)
P0442 - EVAP leak (check gas cap first!) Always note the code and research before spending money at workshops. Many issues are simple fixes!

Bookmarked! This will save so many people from getting ripped off at mechanics. The gas cap tip alone is gold - fixed my wife's car with that!

Can you recommend a good OBD2 scanner? There are so many on Daraz, hard to know which ones actually work properly.
