Don't panic when that check engine light comes on! Here's how to diagnose it yourself before heading to a mechanic.
What you need:
- OBD2 scanner (Rs. 2,000-5,000 on Daraz)
- Smartphone with OBD app (Torque, Car Scanner) Common codes and meanings:
P0171/P0174 - Lean condition (check air filter, MAF sensor)
P0300-P0304 - Misfires (spark plugs, coils)
P0420 - Catalytic converter (might just need O2 sensor)
P0442 - EVAP leak (check gas cap first!) Always note the code and research before spending money at workshops. Many issues are simple fixes!
