Customs Enforcement Islamabad has seized a cache of smuggled vehicles, including a luxury Rolls-Royce and 19 heavy motorcycles, in late-night intelligence-based operations across Islamabad and surrounding areas.
According to a press release from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on January 14, 2026, the total estimated value of the seized goods is Rs. 412.2 million. This operation is part of an ongoing nationwide effort to combat vehicle smuggling and recover lost national revenue.
Vehicles Seized
The operation led to the recovery of:
- One luxury Rolls-Royce car
- 19 non-custom-paid (NCP) heavy motorcycles, including models from Suzuki and Kawasaki.
Customs Officials confirmed all vehicles were non-duty paid and imported illegally, violating the Customs Act, 1969.
How the Operation Unfolded
Acting on credible intelligence, multiple Customs Enforcement teams raided various locations. In addition to the vehicles, a large quantity of smuggled laptops and electronics was seized. All recovered items have been transferred to a designated customs warehouse for secure custody and examination.
FBR’s Stance
The FBR reaffirmed its commitment to:
- Strict enforcement of customs laws
- Curbing the influx of smuggled and NCP vehicles
- Safeguarding national revenue through intelligence-led operations.
For car and bike enthusiasts, this seizure highlights the ongoing crackdown on illegal imports and NCP vehicles, a long-standing issue in Pakistan’s automotive market.
