Govt Officially Launches Pak ID App to Simplify Vehicle Transactions

The Govt has officially launched the Pak ID app to simplify vehicle purchase, sale, and transfer processes for citizens and overseas Pakistanis.

The app allows users to enter a vehicle’s registration number, chassis number, and owner’s name, and complete transfers through biometric verification, effectively eliminating the possibility of fraudulent transfers.

Previously, overseas Pakistanis had to get an authority letter verified at an embassy to transfer a vehicle, but the new app makes the entire process online and secure.

The launch ceremony was attended by DG Excise Umar Sher Chattha and NADRA’s Chief Project Officer Rehman Qamar.

Officials said the initiative aims to make vehicle transactions faster, more transparent, and safer for citizens and overseas Pakistanis while nearly eliminating the risk of forgery.
