Islamabad Suspends Metro Bus, Green Bus Services Today

Rawalpindi and Islamabad residents faced disruption today as the Metro Bus service was suspended across the twin cities. In addition, Rawalpindi’s Green Bus service was also halted.

According to sources from the Metro Bus administration, the suspension of bus services comes following instructions from the district administration.

Officials have cited security concerns linked to potential protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), though authorities emphasized that the situation in Rawalpindi remains under control.

Passengers were advised to seek alternative transport options while the administration monitors the situation. No further timeline for the resumption of services has been announced.
