KARACHI — Pakistan Railways has launched a special tourist service, the “Karachi–Thar Desert Train,” to promote domestic tourism and showcase the unique cultural and natural landscape of Sindh.

The inaugural trip is scheduled for December 20, departing from Karachi Cantonment Station at 9:00 AM, with stops at Chhor and Zero Point near the Pakistan–India border. The route promises scenic desert views and a guided cultural experience.

According to Pakistan Railways officials, the train features:

  • Onboard guidance on Thar’s history and traditions
