Karachi Traffic Police Rolls Out Robots – How Will They Work?
Karachi Traffic Police has decided to introduce robots for issuing e-challans under the ongoing e-tracking system in the city.
DIG Traffic, Pir Muhammad Shah, while addressing a ceremony in Karachi, said that a third method for e-challans is being introduced in the city, which will be carried out through robots.
He added that starting next month, “No Parking” and “No-Two-Lane” signs will be installed on various roads. Robots will operate on roads including Saddar and Tariq Road, with a speed of 20 km/h. He said that the robots will scan vehicles while moving, and anyone violating parking or traffic rules will receive an e-challan.
