Lahore’s New Underground Parking Plaza Shows Major Advancement
The Nila Gumbad underground parking plaza project in Lahore has entered an important stage, with major progress reported on its construction.
Covering sixteen kanals of land, the plaza will feature three basement levels designed to ease parking congestion in the busy area. The project, costing around Rs. 2.45 billion, is expected to be completed by June 2026.
According to project officials, half of the piling work for the foundation has been finished. Out of a total of 457 piles, 222 have already been completed. The casting of cap beams has also started, marking a steady advancement in civil works. Meanwhile, utility relocation work—including sewerage, water supply, and LESCO services—is underway to ensure smooth progress on the site.
