Lahore’s Strict Crack Down on Vehicles Without Green Stickers
The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the Safe City Authority, has launched a strict crackdown in Lahore targeting vehicles without the required green stickers.
According to spokesperson Sajid Bashir, over 2,000 challans have been issued in just four days, and authorities have warned that enforcement actions will continue to intensify.
By cross-checking Safe City data with green-sticker records, non-compliant vehicles are swiftly identified and penalized. The spokesperson further stated that for the next violation, fines will be doubled. On the third offense, the vehicle will be impounded at the spot under a strict “Zero Tolerance” policy.
A full ban on vehicles without green stickers has now been implemented across Lahore city and the motorway. Moreover, immediate legal action will be taken against those found using fake or self-made green stickers, with penalties and confiscations being mandatory.
Check-posts, traffic police, and anti-enforcement units have been put on high alert with continuous checkpoints and spot inspections. The public is urged not to drive vehicles without the green sticker, as immediate challans and impoundment will be enforced.
