No Vehicle Will Leave Bus Stand Without Fitness Certificate Now
No vehicle will be allowed to leave the bus stand without a fitness certificate.
Environmental forces have been deployed on entry and exit routes, and staff should be posted at construction sites to regularly inspect and ensure compliance with SOPs. Checking points should be established on the motorway to monitor vehicles emitting smoke. A written order for the smog control case has been issued.
No bus will now be allowed to leave the Mall Road (Malik Ashraf) bus stand without a fitness certificate. The High Court issued a three-page written order regarding the previous hearing of the smog control case. The written order was issued by Justice Shahid Karim on the petitions filed by citizen Haroon Farooq and others.
According to the written decision, the Environment Department informed the court that no bus will be allowed to operate from any bus stand in Lahore or across Punjab without a fitness certificate. The department also stated that environmental forces have been deployed on Lahore’s entry and exit routes to take action against vehicles emitting smoke.
The court ordered that staff should be posted at construction sites to conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with SOPs.
The written decision also mentioned that the Deputy Commissioner has begun enforcing notifications to close markets and restaurants at night. The court further directed that special checking points should be set up on the motorway to monitor vehicles emitting smoke.

The court adjourned further hearings until the next date and issued a written order for the proceedings of November 7.
