Pakistan Auto Sales 2025: Suzuki and Atlas Honda Top the Charts
2025 is in the rearview mirror. And, as every year, it’s time to wrap up the most sold brand-new cars in Pakistan and see who’s the market winner, as reported by PAMA, and answer questions you might have:
Hatchbacks and Sedans Overview
To no one’s surprise, the Suzuki Alto remained the default choice for buyers this year again, not because it’s the best car, but because it’s the cheapest brand-new car. It crushed the competition, selling 51,393 units by year-end. The car had a massive spike in June, selling nearly 9,500 units in that month alone, accounting for roughly 18% of its total annual sales.
While the Alto tookover the entry-level market, the competition was tighter in the higher segments. Toyota sold a combined 33,394 units of the Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross. Honda followed with 20,829 units between the City and Civic, while the Suzuki Swift clocked in at 12,802 sales.

Total Market Overview of Passenger Cars
Taking a step back to look at the whole industry, total sales for the year hit 166,476 units. June was the busiest month as buyers rushed to purchase cars before the budget release. After the 2025-26 budget hit, sales took a sharp dive but eventually stabilized and picked up momentum from July onwards. See the graph for reference:
Motorcycles Overview
Moving from four wheels to two, the gap between the leader and the rest is staggering. Atlas Honda sold 1,476,747 units, maintaining its dominant market share. Their best month was November, when they sold over 140,000 bikes.
The rest of the field was far behind. United took the runner-up spot with 166,965 units sold annually, followed by Suzuki with 31,853 and Road Prince with 26,144. At the bottom of the list was Yamaha, with only 4,266 units sold, and it is worth noting that Yamaha officially exited the market in early September.

Total Market Overview of Motorcycles
The bike market followed a similar recovery pattern to the car market. After a low point in July (122,117 units), sales climbed steadily for the rest of the year. This upward trend peaked in November, setting a record with 163,002 units sold. See the graph for refference:

Conclusion
The 2025 data reinforces a recurring trend in the Pakistani automotive market. As every year, volume is heavily concentrated at the entry level.
This time, the Suzuki Alto alone accounted for nearly 40% of the entire sedan and hatchback car segment, based on the models included in the PAMA dataset. This proves that price point remains the primary driver for the mass market.
Conversely, the SUV and Pickup segment illustrates a definitive shift in consumer behavior, with Haval Sazgar’s volume leadership over legacy Toyota IMVs (Fortuner and Hilux series) signaling a lean towards feature-rich, modern platforms rather than historical brand loyalty.
However, the most staggering disparity exists in the two-wheeler segment. Atlas Honda has not just led the market; it has cornered it.
The scale of this monopoly is best illustrated by a single stat that Honda’s sales in just one month (November: 140,382 units) nearly equaled what the second-place competitor, United, sold in the entire year (166,965 units). With 1.47 million annual sales against United’s 166k, the gap is too big.
In the end, 2025 was a year of consolidation, in which only the absolute cheapest options, the most technologically competitive SUVs, or the most deeply rooted legacy giants could sustain strong growth.
