HSD Price Rises to PKR 268.19, Petrol Remains Stable in Pakistan
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially confirmed the fortnightly petroleum prices effective February 1 to February 15, 2026, following a verified forecast by Arif Habib Limited (AHL).
Key updates:
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Price increased by PKR 11.11 per litre, reaching PKR 268.19 per litre.
- Motor Spirit (Petrol): Price remained almost stable at PKR 253.21 per litre, with a marginal decline of PKR 0.04 per litre.
Officials attribute the HSD increase to a 5.4% rise in international Brent crude prices over the past fortnight and higher diesel premiums in the global market. In contrast, petrol prices remained steady due to narrower international MS spreads.
The government’s official notification aligns precisely with AHL’s forecast, making these figures highly reliable and current as of January 31, 2026.

Market observers say these price adjustments are part of routine fortnightly reviews, which ensure that domestic fuel prices reflect international trends while keeping consumer impact in check.
